Founded by a student, #THEREFOREYOU is a Non-Government Organization that aims to shine the social blindspot. Our members come together from different countries with various talents to solve public health issues and promote social equality.

Non-Government Organization (NGO) #THEREFOREYOU was first established in 2019. #THEREFOREYOU actively started to work on different projects after the COVID-19 breakout took place in Korea, realizing that the impact on social minorities would be much more fatal. Though the founder initially didn’t plan for establishing an official organization, the idea of promoting public health and social equality through talent donation caught many other people's attention across the nation. Therefore, the official website was created after two founders gathered students who are willing to achieve the same goal with their talents. After registering for the Korean government's recognition as an official NGO, #THEREFOREYOU is getting more donations and sponsors from major companies across the nation. Currently, lots of people who are studying and working in different field are contributing their talents, ideas, and knowledge to enhance the social awareness and contribute to our common goal.

As each piece comes together to create a heart, we come together to make changes. While we are all different, we cooperate and share our thoughts under the common goal: enriching public health and promoting social equality.
PROJECTS
We write about diverse social issues that are related to mainly health but other topics that need attention as well (politics, business & economics, science, environment, education, and art). Through sharing our thoughts and factual information about such topics, we aim to raise public awareness. Anyone, including our writing staff members and other independent writers, can publish the article in our website.
We make and design our own products and sell them through the online platform, including our websites and other crowdfunding websites (Wadis platform), to raise funds for donations. We donate money to childcare centers and children's education centers.
We participate in nursing home volunteers, assist medical education, and work on other community services that are available in each period. Starting with health-related volunteer works, we are now enlarging our scope. Recently, braille book translation volunteer also became available. Members can share any volunteer work they find meaningful on this website.
We write and work on illustrations for children's books and novels. Art staff members and writing staff members often collaborate to publish stories. We are aiming to donate more published books to childcare centers.
