A straw made of cool ice has appeared. It is drawing attention as an eco-friendly straw that can replace plastic straws.
Foreign media such as New Atlas, a U.S. science media outlet, recently reported that the U.S. startup "The Ice Guys" has developed an "Ice Straw."
The appearance of the straw made by the company is more transparent than that of ordinary straws. The way to make a straw is surprisingly simple. According to the company, if you pour water into a silicone mold and freeze it in the freezer for 30 to 45 minutes, you can make a straw like this. The company developed three types of silicon frames. You can make a straw by choosing the right thickness and length depending on the purpose.
The Ice Guys made this product to reduce environmental pollution caused by plastic straws that are discarded indiscriminately. It also compensated for the shortcomings of paper straws that emerged as an alternative to plastic straws. Paper straws are more eco-friendly than plastic straws, but they have a disadvantage that they get mushy over time. Ice straws can stay in shape for a long time, and you can drink cool.
The Ice Guys said, "I can make my own ice straw using juice as well as water."
