Society has changed along with time, in means of both political and economic ways. What made these changes possible was the technological advancement that supported society's growth as a strong foundation. Although some people might believe that life in the past centuries has been easier without complexities, living today is much more comfortable comparatively because today's society has better GDP or gross domestic product, and a higher level of education.
Firstly, today's society offers better life with higher GDP. Over these centuries, many scientists have made great progress in scientific research. With better inventions and discoveries, new kinds of technology emerged and became prevalent in society. These include technologies that are being used in the farming area and the weather forecasting area. This allowed farmers to produce ample amounts of food compared to before. Additionally, the improvement of construction allowed better housing systems for people. For example, the invention of sprinklers allowed farmers to produce crops effectively. These improvements increased the overall GDP, which indicates better life quality.
Moreover, life these days is much more comfortable and easier because of the usage of the internet. In the past when grandparents were children, schools weren't prevalent in society. However, due to the government's plan to enhance the economy, the mandatory education system has increased. This indicates that people's overall education level has increased. With better education, people began to invent computers and internet systems. The internet has changed society, for example, people get to shop or have conversations and interactions freely online. This certainly has made life convenient compared to before.
Although some people might like the simplicity and the eco-friendly life that was easily available in the past, today's life has much more advantages as it is mentioned above. Therefore, young people must be grateful for the comfortable and easier life that they are having, which has been constructed from the past.
