Avoiding Sleeping Pill Misusage

As the saying goes, "Sleep is a remedy," even if you fall asleep with a sore whole body after a hard day, you quickly regain your energy as if you had a hard time the next day. In other words, sleep is a time when the brain and body rest and accumulate energy. Failure to achieve quality sleep will adversely affect your daily life the next day.


Insomnia is such a common disease that one in three adults in Korea is suffering from. However, even though he is suffering from persistent insomnia, he does not think it is a disease that needs to be treated. This is because most people think it will be okay in a few days due to reasons such as "I drank a lot of coffee today" and "I've been under a lot of stress lately." However, if insomnia persists, it can cause chronic fatigue, decreased immunity, decreased concentration and judgment, as well as depression and emotional anxiety, so it is recommended to start treatment early.


Sleep disorders such as insomnia, which can lead to poor sleep, can be caused by various factors such as allergic rhinitis, snoring, hormonal imbalance, chronic fatigue syndrome, lower extremity anxiety syndrome, depression, and anxiety. For this reason, relying on sleeping pills or sleep-inducing drugs as a prescription to sleep unconditionally without finding the root cause of insomnia can only strengthen dependence on drugs or worsen insomnia symptoms due to abuse of drugs.


If it usually takes more than an hour to get to sleep, or if you fall asleep but wake up intermittently, you need to suspect insomnia. If this insomnia continues, the sympathetic nerves can become excited, causing anxiety disorders such as headaches and difficulty breathing, and anxiety disorders and compulsive neurosis can not only cause sleeplessness but also adversely affect mental health. Therefore, if you suspect insomnia on your own, it is important to visit the hospital and start treatment early.


One of the reasons why he is suffering from sleep disorders but is reluctant to visit the hospital is the concern that "he will only prescribe sleeping pills because he can't sleep." But this is a wrong idea. The cause of insomnia can be caused by various factors, so a treatment plan is made considering various aspects such as the patient's overall health condition and living environment that causes insomnia, so sleeping pills are not unconditionally prescribed just because you are suffering from sleep disorders. Sleeping pills only play an auxiliary role in treating insomnia.


Anyone who suffers from sleep disorders wants to get quality sleep. Good sleep is when you wake up in the morning and feel refreshed within five minutes. Usually, it takes less than 30 minutes to fall asleep, and it is better to fall asleep within 5 to 10 minutes as much as possible, and it is not difficult to live daily life if you do not wake up often.


Quality sleep makes our lives more lively and happy. Suffering sleep disorders through abnormal sleep is tantamount to losing health and happiness. Insomnia that everyone experiences at least once, but if you neglect symptoms with the thought that they will get better soon, the symptoms may be severe when you visit the hospital, so if you suffer from sleep disorders that interfere with your daily life, it is wise to visit the hospital early.
