More than 200 cases reported hair loss abnormalities after completing the vaccination for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Women far outnumbered men in the number of reporters.
According to data submitted by Kang Sun-woo of the Democratic Party of Korea from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the 15th, 240 cases of hair loss were reported among abnormal reaction cases as of the 10th.

By vaccine, there were 98 AstraZeneca cases, 71 Pfizer cases, 65 Moderna cases, and 6 Janssen cases. As for the gender of the reporter, women (172 cases) were more than twice as many as men (68 cases). In terms of age group, those in their 50s had the most cases with 80. It is followed by those in their 60s (54 cases) and those in their 40s (41 cases).
In fact, a recent article complaining of aftereffects of hair loss after being vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine was posted on the Blue House National Petition Bulletin. A man in his 50s who lives in Sejong claimed that he was suffering from severe hair loss after completing the second round of Moderna vaccination on the 30th of last month.
On the 8th, an article titled "Side Effects of Pfizer Hair Loss" was posted on the national petition bulletin board. The petitioner claimed, "On August 4, I had a circular hair loss the size of two 500 won coins in the back of my right head after the first round of Pfizer."
Meanwhile, medically, the causal relationship between the COVID-19 vaccine and hair loss has not been confirmed. It is reported that the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is continuously monitoring hair loss abnormalities.
