<Eye health prevention and management rules to follow when using a computer>
1. If the height of the eyes is 15 to 20 cm higher than the screen and the monitor is tilted 5 degrees backward, the eye does not open wide, reducing the area of the eyeball's exposure to the outside.
2. Reduce eye fatigue by not increasing the monitor resolution too much.
3. Consciously blink your eyes often during work to prevent dry eye syndrome.
4. When working for a long time, look far away for about 10 minutes an hour to relax the tense eye muscles by concentrating on nearby objects.
5. Maintain indoor temperature at 18°C and indoor humidity at 40-60% to prevent dry eye syndrome due to dry environment.
6. Do not use the computer in the dark. It is recommended to keep indoor lighting bright at 300 to 500 lux.
7. It is better to wear glasses than contact lenses when using a computer.
8. If dry eye syndrome worsens, corneal damage and vision impairment can occur. Therefore, when the symptoms are severe, the hospital receives an accurate diagnosis and fundamentally treats them.
