Gender-Neutral Paid Leave

While it seems true that parents require paid leave when they give birth to babies, it seems like there might be some underlying problems for the company’s economic profit. A company, after all, is an organization that needs to maximize profit. When they pay people even when they aren’t working, their money for support would eventually decrease. Then, when parents return from work, the company would be in an economically worse situation. Instead, there should be governmental support. Babies are the future leaders of our society, and the government has the responsibility to give support to parents who raise babies. Therefore, the government should interfere with the situation and give monetary support to people who are having a rest from work. Moreover, giving men and women both leave amounts of supports seems unfair. Biologically, women only give birth, and they need a sufficient amount of time to recover both mentally and physically. Therefore, while giving support for women is plausible, there is a problem when the same amount is given to men as well.
