The world's largest active volcano in Hawaii erupted lava, raising concerns over damage to residents.
However, it is gaining popularity as a unique tourist destination as people flock to see the spectacular scenery.
Currently, in Hawaii, the overflowing lava flows endlessly red lines along the ridge. If you go up to the middle of the mountain, you can see this clearly. That's why many people line up with their cameras up. The view of the crater from the air is more spectacular. So there was even a tour package where you can see the volcano by helicopter. Reservations for nearby hotels are full until after Christmas.
One of the visitors claims that it's magical to see Mauna Loa, the longest mountain in the world, exploding and Pele (the goddess of volcanoes). Others also agree that this is a great spectacle.
Around the volcano, we can see another scene: people putting flowers on a pile of stones and singing. It is a memorial service for the natives to pray for care to the volcano god. Lava eruptions, which occur every few decades, give a sacred meaning to the locals.
One of the Native Hawaiians says, "Is there any need to be afraid? Learn to love even a little bit and try to be a part of it. It's not up to us to decide anyway". As such, we can see that they are also trying to be optimistic.
The eruption of Mauna Loa began on the 27th of last month. At one time, as lava soared to 60m, there was a lot of concern about the damage, such as a warning. However, as the eruption subsides, it creates a spectacular view and is emerging as a unique attraction.
