The women in the Ted Talk claims that the stress itself does not give a detrimental effect on health. She instead says that stress adversely affects your health when you believe that stress has negative impacts on your health. The biological response to stress is a natural thing that is actually helping you to cope with a stressful situation, For example, oxytocin (stress response hormone) makes you find something that can emotionally help you. This leads you to find friends or family and talk about your stress, which makes your relationship stronger. I agree with her argument because people can’t live without stress. What matters is how we are going to consider the stress, and what kind of attitude are we going to have toward stress. If our body responses are a natural thing that helps us to cope with the situation, then there’s no need to be stressed about having stress.
