Can our lives be extended just by smiling?

In KBS1's "Secret of the Life and Life Soldiers," I looked for the answer in "God's Gift, Laughter, the Power of 15 Seconds." The program, which will air at 10 p.m. on the 18th, claims that just laughing loudly for 15 seconds will extend its lifespan for two days. In addition, if you laugh loudly for one minute, it has the same exercise effect as walking fast for 10 minutes, and more and more doctors are applying laughter to clinical trials such as cancer treatment.
As an example, Pastor Kim Sang-tae, who was diagnosed with gastric cancer in the late 1992s, was put forward. He overcame a 3% survival rate and is still alive 12 years later. Pastor Kim believes that the secret to his life lies in laughter.
Miami also introduces a unique doctor named Patch Adams, who applies laughter to patient treatment. His story was also a hot topic in the United States, with the movie "Patch Adams" starring Robin Williams.
Osaka Medical School in Japan released groundbreaking results studying the relationship between laughter and NK cells. NK cells (natural killer cells), a type of immune cells, attack and self-destruct like suicide commandos when mutants such as cancer cells occur. These NK cells have begun to attract attention among doctors who treat incurable diseases such as cancer, and research is actively underway with a new treatment called immunotherapy.
Then, at the end of the broadcast, we will also introduce how to actually smile well.
Producer Jang Sung-joo said, "It may not be better than a natural smile, but forced smile has actually been found to stimulate the brain and help the health," adding, "I hope middle-aged viewers who are not used to laughing will know the importance of laughter after watching this program."
