Depression is often referred to as depression, which can be felt in natural disasters that humans cannot handle, diseases that are difficult to endure, and the pain of losing loved ones. It varies widely from mild levels, such as depressed and not feeling well, to morbidly serious ones. If it appears lightly, it will temporarily appear and disappear quickly, but if it continues to appear, painful events will always emerge and in serious cases, daily functions may be disrupted.

General mental health disorders often conjure up depression, and can occur in various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, middle-aged, and the elderly. Women may complain of postpartum depression after giving birth or feel depressed due to hormonal changes in menopause. The most common age groups are those in their mid teens and 20s and 30s, and recurrences can occur several times throughout their lives.

Among them, senile depression is more likely to suffer emotional pain, such as the death of a loved one, the loss of a familiar environment, and the decline in income, chronic diseases, and stress such as social isolation. Cancer, heart attack, heart failure, thyroid disease, stroke, dementia, and Parkinson's disease can also develop into some depression.

Elderly depression often does not interact socially, so the symptoms are not easily noticeable, and some people try to hide their symptoms by dismissing them as being weak in their mental strength. On the surface, it is easy to think of it as simply indifference or changes due to aging, and similar to dementia, memory disorders are also complained. It may be difficult to confirm, so questions about periodic mood changes and subtle personality changes should also be watched.

Depressive symptoms can appear gradual over days to weeks and vary from individual to individual. Their behavior slows down and they look sad, annoyed, and anxious. You may feel that the world is boring and lifeless, and you may not be able to concentrate on something due to strong guilt or self-esteem, and your lack of concentration. Despair, loneliness, and useless thoughts can often occur, which can lead to death and suicide.

Changes also occur in lifestyle patterns. Insomnia is easily accompanied, making it difficult to sleep and waking up several times even if you sleep. On the contrary, there are cases where you sleep much more than usual. Loss of appetite and weight loss can cause the body to weaken, or menstrual irregularities can occur in women. On a light level, it can reversely show overeating and weight gain. You may be depressed, negative, skeptical, have no sense of humor, and not feel pleasure.

Furthermore, they are passive, lack energy, and do not hang out with others. In some cases, they confide in constant complaints, frequently criticize others, or blame themselves. They are obsessed with deficiencies, failures, and negative events, and sometimes reach the level of morbid enjoyment of their failures. He is always nervous and anxious, so he can easily get tired physically, and he temporarily feels better and then sinks again. Depending on the type, the symptoms you usually see may vary.

Depression can lead to excessive misuse of alcohol or drugs to escape the current state. Smoking becomes more frequent, does not take care of one's health, and the immune system decreases, increasing the risk of infection. This can increase the risk of heart, vascular disorders, and stroke. As such, depression can have not only mental but also physical effects, so it is important to prepare for early detection and return to the situation before the outbreak.
