While Namyang Dairy's grandson was recently arrested and indicted on charges of habitual drug administration and supply, the prosecution is expanding its investigation network, believing that there will be more children of chaebol (rich) families who have not yet been revealed.
In particular, experts pointed out the "perception of privilege" as the reason why children of chaebol families fall into drugs.
Yeom Gun-woong, a professor of police department at Yuwon University, said, "The children of chaebol think of drugs as a privilege that only they can enjoy and have a property to show off and prove them."
He also pointed out that even if caught, he would hire an expensive lawyer to lead the court's lenient ruling, which would only be suspended.
They then cited their "growth process."
Professor Yeom said, "Most chaebols study abroad from an early age," adding, "They can naturally get close to drugs in legal areas such as the United States (some states) and Canada."
Lastly, I also saw 'wide network and wealth' as the cause.
It is a drug cartel created in the chaebol community and analyzed that it is a relatively easy environment to meet drug supply measures.
He also said, "Drugs are relatively expensive for the general public and have high purchase barriers, but their financial resources are not burdensome."
In fact, drugs smoked by S Group III are known to be worth 9.55 million won in market value, and drugs smoked by H Group III are known to be worth 14.45 million won in total market value.
